Hey everyone....so, i thought I''d give you all an update.
I finally ordered my dress from Lee Philip Bridals. I dealt with Stacey and I have to say she has been excellent in my dealings with her so far and I''m really pleased! (added to that the fact that I''ve saved $1565 on this dress and I''m ecstatic!). It''s the Pronovias ''Diamante''.
She gave me an estimated ship date of October 20th, which is plenty of time for my January 3rd wedding.

So now I''m trying to find a bolero jacket to go with this dress.
I''d love to know you all think of this jacket. It''s the one to match the ''Cordoba'' dress by Pronovias:

Thanks!

Just wanted to say, congrats, dress twin! How exciting! I''m kicking myself for not going with an online vendor for my dress. *sigh*

You still got it for a great price Angielea and once you get it you won''t even care!
I can''t wait to get the dress. Not for ages yet, but I''ll post pictures when I do.

What does everyone think of the jacket to go over it?

The shrug is a bit much for me, but then again,I live in the midwest.

I think I''m going to order this shrug, but in green. :)

That''s nice angielea.
I wanted something with longer sleeves and I''m drawn to the pronovias one.

Obviously no-one likes it though, which has me slightly worried.
I haven''t ordered it yet. don''t know what to do now!

I understand wanting sleeves, If you love it, you should go for it! I think in the picture you posted, the model doesn't really pull it off, so that my effect people's views.

You can also have a local seamstress make you a bolero with long sleeves, probably at a cheaper price, too.

ETA: and just because people aren't commenting doesn't mean they all hate it.. people were commenting on some bedazzled shoes that were posted a week or so ago, so they're not afraid to state their opinion. :)

I think I''d be a bolero girl too - for modesty in the church and because I''m always cold!

Is this the same bolero? I think this model wears it a little better.

If I''m honest, I''m not sure that the lace and ruffles would go with your dress. And your dress - oh wow

Oh, I love that bolero! Those buttons on the front are so precious too! Will you be able to order from the same vendor as your dress, which it sounds like you got a great deal on!

I always wanted to be able to wear a lace bolero, but my dress has lace, in such a fashion that I think a lace bolero just wouldn''t look appropriate. So, I''m having little sleeves added to mine, which is taking forever and which is causing me to hate my dress just a little bit! Alas, I am getting married in 16 days and am getting quite off topic . . .

I like that bolero a lot and really like the detail around the edges -- very stylish!

Thanks for your comments ladies.
I think that the bolero is much more impressive IRL. My Mum was speechless when I put it on with the dress.
Delster, know what you mean by the model not wearing it well. That one you posted is similar to the one I want but not the exact one.
It looks much better on me

Ha ha, I''m kidding but I think I wear it better!

I don''t know what I''ll do. It''s far to expensive really €500 if I import it from the US and €525 in my local bridal shop. No way I''m paying that for a cover up.
I can get it in UK size 12 as a sample from another shop about 2 hours drive away but I''m sure the sample I tried on was a UK 14. I will go try it on though as it''s a much better price - €250
Failing that, I think I''ll get a bridal designer to make me one that''s similar.

OMG-Angie: that dress and bolero combo is what my maid of honor is wearing! Same colors, too. It''s so feminine and delicate...I def recommend!

Sorry to threadjack, but I''m so excited to order that bolero!! :) I think it''ll look so cute.

Hazel - I''m sure you look better than the model, I bet it would add some extra OOmph to the dress to make it your own! let us know what you decide to do.

I have ordered the bolero from the bridal shop here. They''re posting it out as we speak so I''ll try and post pictures when I get it. Won''t have the dress but you''ll get the general idea anyway hopefully!

If the Mammy was impressed, that''s a good sign!
