My search for a perfect diamond for an engagement ring continues and I would greatly appreciate honest opinions on the BlueNile stone specs below as I am close to pulling the trigger:
Round Brilliant Stone
1.10 ct
G
VS2
BlueNile cut rating: Ideal
GIA cut grade: Excellent
Table %: 57
Depth %: 61.9
Crown Angle: 35.5
Pavilion Angle: 40.6
Girdle: Thin-Medium
Polish/Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: Faint
GIA Report Number: 2186408494
Blue Nile LInk: http://www.bluenile.com/ca/diamond-details/LD05081121?keyword_search_value=LD05081121
Clicking on the GIA symbol on the BlueNile page takes you to the GIA Report showing the image of the inclusions.
One of my main concerns is that on the clarity report it is showing and "Indented Natural" inclusion.
After speaking with the BN diamond expert they confirmed the indented natural is a minor inclusion on the pavilion side near the girdle.
They confirmed that there would be no setting issues with the stone but I would really like to hear what the expert's on this forum think of the inclusion. Will it cause any apparent weakness after setting?
The diamond is currently on hold and so I would have to make a decision quickly.
Again all of your comments and contributions are appreciated!
