I was wondering if you all could tell me if the customer service people at blue nile are good? Would they be able to help me find a nice diamond for a pendant? Thanks

They pretty much know the four Cs. Nothing like actually being able to SEE the stone that you''re advising about, though.

I found this diamond, it is pear shaped, SI 1 and G color

Length/width ratio: 1.52
how are the numbers? I compared them to what the info in ths site gives for fancy cuts but I dont know if they are specificly for pears or not. thanks

They theoretically can conduct a "visual inspection," which means they ask the supplier if it''s eye clean, which, lo and behold, it always is. I think if you know the specifics of what you want and can run the angles based on the cert, Blue Nile is a great option, especially if you are planning to get a VS2 or higher. But if you are looking to get an SI, and you want to ensure it''s truly eye clean, they won''t be very helpful.
