Hi,
My fiance and I are still searching for my engagement ring stone. We like the princess channel setting band at bluenile.com. We have been doing alot of looking for the stones on there as well. They offer "Ideal cut" princesses. How can they do this without listing the other info on the diamond? They only show the crown info? Isn''t the pavillion important to deciding too?
One diamond we were interested in:
Price : 2250.00 Carat weight: 0.59

Cut: Signature Princess

Color: E

Clarity: VS2

Depth %: 68.3%

Table %: 70%

Symmetry: Very good

Polish: Excellent

Girdle: Medium

Culet: None

Fluorescence: None

Measurements: 4.87x4.73x3.23 mm

Crown height: 9.1%

Length/width ratio: 1.03

I guess what I am asking is that without knowing the other info on the stone, is this really as close to "ideal cut" for princess as you can get? Is this just a sales thing for bluenile?
A little confused here,
Thanks
M-

Just a sales thing. Brilliance within Princess cuts are dependant upon crown/pavilion angle and table relationships and even if you have that very few Gmen can accurately assess optical properties. What is preferred (at a very minimum) would be LightScope/IdealScope image and if possible BrillianceScope results to confirm.
