I let my son use my computer last night and woke up this morning to the Blue Screen of Death!

We have tried to go in using safe mode and it lets us but we can''t actually get to do anything.

Does anyone have any suggestions... we can''t find the recovery disc unfortunately.

The Blue Screen of Death is EVIL!!!!!

Since you don''t have the recovery disc, I would suggest you to bring it to a computer tech and have them look at it. Possibly try to back up any data that you still want on the computer. Otherwise it will be all gone into cyberspace.

I lost everything. All my precious pictures and a video of my little 2 yr old niece singing the ABC''s with my Dh.

Good luck!

Oh no! Thats awful.

I can''t get the computer to boot up so I can recover anything. I am going to have to take it to someone to have a look. I have hundreds of baby photos on there... and I never thought to back them up. Silly silly me.

What version of Windows are you running? Have you tried booting with the "Last known good configuration" option? You could also try to do a system restore while in safe mode, restoring your PC to an earlier date/time.

I never thought it would happen to me either but sadly it did. I am thankful that I did get hardcopies of my wedding and honeymoon pictures but I am more upset with the little video of my darling niece. But I do have all the memories and pictures in my heart and mind.

You really need a boot disk to fix the problem. If you can''t find it, or can''t buy a new one, take it to a tech service. There are ways of recovering lost data, but it''s usually pretty expensive if the boot disk fails to work.

take it to a tech and have them recover the photos before they do anything.
It could be a lot of different things but the first step is get a backup of important data.

I got that once on an IBM and the guys at my University''s tech center were able to get all my stuff off of it. So don''t give up hope yet! But the blue screen of death is EVIL EVIL EVIL!!!!
