Blue Nile''s Mark-Up

Anyone know what % Blue Nile marks their stones up at? The reason that I ask is that my jeweler claims to use a 5% mark-up. I''ve found a couple of stones on BN that I really like, and I''m trying to figure out what an identical stone should cost through my jeweler. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

% above WHAT exactly ... the "trade" price. Well good luck figuring THAT out. People will tell you RAP is the "trade" price but

, yeah, uh, like the sticker price is the "retail price" of a car.

Oh and I bet you are going to be quite suprised at how much lower Blue Nile or other internet vendor stones are priced compared to stones at the "local 5% markup jeweler". I don''t think many Brick & Mortar stores could survive on such a slim margin (if it was the REAL margin -- but with all the hocus pocus involved in diamonds
