Blue Nile or Whiteflash? and why?

Personally I would go with Whiteflash as they will provide you with more information/images if you ask and their staff''s opinions are well regarded by members here. All that said if Blue Nile has the perfect stone and Whiteflash doesn''t then BN is a decent choice.

Whiteflash.

1. Because they provide more information than BN about their diamonds and since I own a few, I know they''re gorgeous and their ACA brand can be trusted.
2. Price. I checked out BN a few days ago and wasn''t impressed. They weren''t lower than other vendors who do provide more information and have great trade in and buy back polices.

For me, there''s really no reason to go with BN.

Appreciate the opinions. I have posted another topic where I listed two different diamonds. I would appreciate opinions on those. Thanks!

+1.

I use BN to search their massive online inventory and find out what ballpark I should be expecting to pay.

Whiteflash (or Good Old Gold, or Brian Gavin Diamonds) for a couple readons: The diamonds are in house and have been picked by experts to have top optics, and they have great customer service and policies (upgrade, lifetime buyback). I don`t like buying diamonds from drop shippers myself, and that`s what BN is.

I found a setting I liked on each of those. When I asked to see other pictures whiteflash was able to and blue nile said they don''t have any. The CS person told me that it was a very popular setting, so not sure why a picture couldn''t have been provided, b/c of this I would go w/ whiteflash, they were able to send me tons of pics and if you find a diamond similar to one on their site and it''s cheaper they will most likely price match it. Also, whiteflash provides a trade up program w/ your diamond if that is something you are interested, blue nile does not.

I can chime in with my two cents here.

I can''t speak for BN, since I''ve never dealt with them, but I''m in the process of getting an engagement ring and WF has been near the top of my list as a vendor for my ring purchase.

I''m actually visiting in Houston right now, so I took the opportunity to drop by their office here and Bryan was kind of enough to see me in the morning even though I had no appointment booked. He took the time show my GF some settings and then later we looked at a few diamonds so I could see with my own eyes how they looked loose and on a setting.

He also offered some good advice on upgrading the ring in the future, educated me further on the selection process, and in no way put forth the sales pressure that I faced in other B&M jewelery stores, which is something I really hate. I like buying things when I want to, and at my own discretion and time. I was very happy and my GF and I are just finalizing on what setting to get.

Compared to other online jewelery stores they do charge a bit more, but with their awesome customer service I have no problem paying a premium for it. Based on this, and the other reviews I''ve read about WF, I feel very confident about buying from them if I do choose to do so.

1. WF provides ASET, IS and Sarin which are very helpful for fancy cuts and rounds.
2. WF provides actual REAL and magnified pictures of the diamond.
3. I love the upgrade policy should I need it.
4. WF provides custom designed settings.
