I've been researching solitaires within my budget for the past few weeks, and have been largely focusing on Blue Nile (though have kept an eye on offerings from JA, WF, and others). After placing an order last night, I canceled this morning. In the final analysis, I'm just not up to dealing with the uncertainties of buying (and returning as necessary) without up-front visuals that confirm superior cut and performance.
I looked at what Brian Gavin Diamonds has available in their Signature and Blue series, have emailed them and am planning to call later on today. I'm focusing on these two at the moment, both Blue (one is G/VS2/Med Fl, the other G/SI1/Strong Fl). Of course, these are AGS 0 across the board with good HCA scores. It appears to me that the ASETs and Ideal Scopes are good.
Can anyone give me a thumbs-up and/or make recommendations between these? I am not set on the BG Blue vs the BG Signature, but am set on the budget (already a stretch) and these seem to be the ones there that stood out to me. Thank you.
