I have been looking at rings for the past few months which is exactly the same amount of time I have been overseas away from my girlfriend. I have been keeping an eye on Union Diamond, White Flash, and Blue Nile sites because I would like to buy a ring while I am overseas and propose on a trip we are taking when I get back. A couple days ago I found the perfect diamond on Blue Nile, the one I had been looking for, it fit everything I was looking for perfectly (budget, cut, clarity, shape). I also found a setting at Blue Nile I originally thought was perfect. I bought the diamond and setting and they are shipping it to me but I am recently worried about the side view of the setting. Blue Nile appears to use a default diamond picture with their setting views, and the angled picture on the finger makes the setting look kludgy where the band meets the basket (sorry if terminology is off). The setting is the "Petite Trellis" in platinum and I bought a Signature Ideal, Princess Shape, 1.02 CT diamond for the setting. Does anyone out there have this setting with a princess shape? I am curious what it looks like from the side. I have a few more weeks before I get back and I really don''t want to be negatively surprised when I get back home. I originally chose that setting because it has a narrow band that won''t overpower her narrow fingers, and the trellis prongs make the ring look timeless to me. If anyone has some feedback (pictures) for that setting I would be grateful. Advice for what other settings have narrow bands would also be helpful. So far I have been to hundreds of posts on this forum, looked at every design, and feel confident with my choice, except when it comes to that side view on the site. I recently saw this setting:

which appears to have a wider band, and the side view looks much cleaner. Does the Blue Nile look more like this in person?
