Hi all,

So I LOVE halo settings... my dream ring is the tacori 2620 wih a rb center, however it''s a fairly pricey setting (the platinum setting is almost $5000 after taxes)... I''ve been looking around to see if I could find any other halo settings that are a little less pricey and would LOVE suggestions if anyone has any. I''ve seen the ''cirque'' halo on blue nile, but haven''t been able to find any pics of it on people... so if anyone has any to share, I''d appreciate it!

Hey Erinleigh I was just browsing Knox Jewelers and they had some nice halo''s there! I personally liked the Tulip setting they have there. Hope that gives you some ideas.

I like the cirque setting but believe that you would have to purchase the stone from Blue Nile as well.

Vatche has a setting in a square halo called the Grace
here is another PSer''s yummy ring

Thanks guys!

Princess - the tulip setting is gorgeous! there were a few on there I really liked...

akmiss - that vatche setting is gorgeous! very similar looking to the tacori. as for the 2620, we're in canada so i guess with exchange thats why its so much more. we were quoted 4200 for the platinum version that will fit a 1ct center stone. ive really got my heart set on platinum because a) i love the patina finish it gets over time and b) i dont like the maintenance required for keeping a white gold stone white.

great suggestions though, its given me alot to think about- thanks all! keep em comin ;)

Erinleigh,

I''m in love with the 2620 RD, it''s my upgrade dream.

Here''s a little research I found. Check out the attached link. I think this company''s pricing is equivalent to the MSRP. I do think you can negotiate with different jewelers for a lower price. Looking at the chart allows you also to see what size band you would based on your center stone.

Engagement Ring:

If your ring is 1 carat, I think you might be able to get a cheaper band than $4,000 for platinum. For example, I saw the 2620 RD medium--which holds a center stone between 1.19ct to 1.74ct for $3,025 in platinum on another website (with the pave shoulders).

Hope this info helps you. Good Luck!
