Black Opal on the red carpet?

Helen Mirren's jewels at the Catherine the Great premiere. I am not sure if those were black opal but she looked great wearing them! Just wanted to share.

Right? Those earrings remind me of the pictures I’ve seen of the hooks that go over the tops of your ears to support the weight of heavy earrings.

If I were Cate Blanchett, I think my earlobes would fall off.

I think the metal is Titanium which is light, hence the magenta colour.

The metal must be titanium, which is used by the highest calibre jewelers such as Wallace Chan. I do believe titanium could be made into a variety of colors, and don't think that it's naturally magenta.

After playing Queen Elizabeth I and II, Queen Charlotte and Catherine the Great, age deserves to have such regal jewels!!
