Hi all,

I'm looking to get my engagement ring (yeah, i'm picking everything ) and have been always drawn to the unusual so I wanted to have a black and white diamond ring. Well, initially I wanted black white and rubies (favorite color scheme) but I thought it might be too 'candy' like. Too crazy (or is it?)
In any case, the centre stone is planned to be ~1.5 carat G or H (maybe even I?). What I wonder is will the proximity of black diamonds affect the appearance, brightness, sparklyness of the white diamond? Will it look whiter by contrast so I can shop around for a bigger stone that is more colored? Or will it bring out the yellow/warm tones instead, and I should instead be looking to get the whitest stone that fits in the budget?

Attached is image of ring I had in mind. I wanted the thin outer bands to be black diamonds.

G or H is not yellow or warm at all. The black diamonds will be fine :)

I saw a ring with an RB centre stone and a rounded pave band where the middle row of diamonds are black diamonds!!! Unusual, but very pretty
