Hi everyone,

I'm strongly considering working with BGD to reset my current ring. I'm looking at solitaires and also their "Summer" ring with pear sidestones. So far from speaking with them, BGD seems very professional and I've read many wonderful reviews. I'm still a bit nervous about sending my stones out of state to reset in a ring I can't see in person. BGD's prices are so much lower than for designer settings like and I'm wondering if that is anything to be nervous about. If you have a setting from BGD are you happy with the piece and has the setting held up well?

Thank you!

If it helps, I don't think I have ever seen a poster come back complaining about their BGD ring not wearing well! I think the quality is very high.

For a while about a month back, there were some quality control issues with pieces coming out of BGD, simple errors that should have been caught before the peices were sent out (wrong trype of milgrain, for example), but the issues were resolved on BGD's dime each time.

I have not personally had any issues with my half eternity and I have had it for 2 years. Early on one stone fell out and BGD replaced it for me for free because it was so early, and I have had no issues since. I also have a simple solitaire from them and it has worn well over the past 16 months.

I find the quality of the BGD signature settings I bought to be better than similar settings I have checked out in stores from popular designers and brands. The BGD signature settings feels heavier and the finish looks more polished.

OMG! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my wedding set. I don't regret a thing and I was very nervous as well. I don't think I can post a link to the blog here, but if you go to Brian's blog - my story was posted on 2/28/2011. You can read the whole letter that I wrote them. The custom process was a nervous one for me, but OMG I am so happy. I've only been wearing my set for 2 months, but so far no issues! I get so many compliments. It's funny when I'm at a jewelry store, it never fails, the sales associate will comment on my rings. Recently one grabbed my hand and asked where I got them! :) You will never regret a BGD purchase - NEVER!

I have... three pieces by them. I had a small bezel set stone fall out in the ultra sonic once... called them up they paid for overnight shipping and it was back good as new within 3 days. That's the ONLY issue I've had with their pieces. And that's too be expected.. ultrasonics can cause some loose stones. I don't put my bezels or my pave in US's anymore. Although, if you do use a US... if something comes loose at least you know where it is!

All my pieces by them have appraised very well, especially comments about workmanship and quality.

I can easily say that my settings are as good if not better than Tiffany. I don't own any of their pave, but have seen it in person and louped it... and I know Brian is very picky about his pave. Brian's picky period (in a good way), that's why I trust them and keep working with them.

I love the Summer setting, as an aside. It's one of my favorites! Great choice.
