I'm looking for opinions/suggestions/comments on the CAD's for a custom BGD Three Stone Split Shank Trellis. The stones are 0.3/0.6/0.3 D VS BG Signature.

It is similar to Enerchi's ring, but with smaller RB stones.

Let me know what you think. Thanks!

I am not a fan of such a long shank split. I would make it closer to the prongs so it's a more defined Y vs a V.

What do you think of it? Is it what you wanted?

Thanks, for the feedback. I specifically want a split shank design for the ring, but do also have some concerns about the length of the shank split in this CAD. It's hard for me to visualize how pronounced this feature would be on the actual ring on a much smaller scale vs the magnified CAD. I'm just looking for honest feedback; what you like and don't like, what you would change or tweak to this design. Thanks again.

I like it. I think it looks nicely in proportion. I don't think I would change a thing.

I always find it helpful to shrink images down to near-actual size. MS paint and other types of programs can do this, just takes a little trial and error to get the size right. Seeing it to scale will be very different from seeing it magnified.

I think it's fine. I can't think of anything I'd tweak.

Thanks everyone for the feedback and recommendations. We did have BGD produce some more CAD's with the shank split up higher near the trellis producing more of a Y pattern instead of the original V pattern. I spliced each of the newer Y and older V CAD's together in paint and sized them to be the same for comparison purposes. They are attached below. Which do you prefer? Any other recommendations?

ericad, good idea on shrinking the images down to actual size. I did find one of her other rings and used it to figure out how much to shrink the images to be sized correctly on our computer screen.

I prefer the newer version with the Y shaped split. It seems to flow better with your MRB's.

I like this much better.

I also like the smaller split better from both the top and side view. To me it looks more like a "Y" vs. a "V" (if that makes sense) and I was immediately drawn to it once you posted it. Coming from a 3 stone owner, I really like the added element of the split shank vs. a traditional 3 stone! I can't wait to see handshots when completed!!

I much prefer the Y! Beautiful ring!

Another vote for the Y shape!

I also strongly prefer the new CADs with the prominent Y, vs. the old V with longer stems.
