all of you fabulous PS''ers who have been such a great help. I call upon you all once again in hopes of gaining further insight.
*Disclaimer*
-I''m horrible at being able to ''picture'' what a finished product will look like.
-The comments and opinions I put forth are an interpretation of what I think my beautiful and lovely GF would enjoy. I''ve opted to leave her out of the decision making process and this will be a complete surprise to her.
The CAD is a tremendous benefit but I still would like some input from (what seems to be) the ALL KNOWING Pricescope population
I''m going to post 2 pictures below.
Image #1 -
Cartier Declaration D''amour: I really love the basket, prongs and how the diamond is displayed by the overall settings. It''s not too high, it''s not hidden or overly obstructed. I like the shape of the band but would prefer to if it offered a little more sparkle.
Please welcome Ms. Leslie and Mr. Brian Gavin to my design initiatives....

This is the rendering that was provided. I requested the weighted shank.
I really only have one ''area'' where I''d like to get some input - The shank and how it affects the micro-pave. As you can see, the radii along the top edges of the shank are more round than square with rounded corners and a flat top. (see: Declaration D''Amour). I''m wondering:
1. Shape: Is squaring the radii possible from a manufacturing stand point.
2. Would squaring those edges take from the from the overall ''fluidity'' of the lines? Or would it add a structured design thus adding to the lines (like the Cartier).
3. Pave - thoughts on how it would look resting in more of a flat versus how its displayed with the round shape.
Thank you all in advance (AGAIN!)
Lets hear some thoughts:
Added detail incase it''s needed or wanted:
The micro pave is going to entail 3 lines of stones that are approximately 1.2mm across. They said they will use their signature colorless stones for the pave to ensure they match the main diamond. The band is currently measured at 3mm. The centre stone is a 1.215 F-SI1 BGD H&A that is approx. 6.85mm across the top.
