Hi all,

I have been searching for diamonds for studs. My DH wants to make a purchase, one to celebrate a milestone birthday and the other to celebrate a milestone anniversary. We bought one diamond and Brian has been looking for a match. He has found one and here are the two diamonds:

Please let me know what you think about:

1) The specs on the diamonds. Both are eye clean per Brian.

2) Do YOU think they will be a good match? They will go in this setting: http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamond-earrings/studs/handmade-milgrain-bezel-studs-18k-white-gold-5566w18

We are really in need of some advice before we make a final decision. Below is the picture Jamie sent to me with the diamonds side by side. So glad this site exists with all its' expertise!!! THANKS!

Based on the numbers they look very close, and *I* would be comfortable with the match, but I am no expert. Love the setting you chose for them.

Leslie helped find matches for me for my daughters studs, they were beautiful.
Leslie found a match to extend my wife's pendant, it is beautiful.
So......if Brian/Leslie say it is a match.......its a match.
Best of luck.

Thanks so much vintageinjune and WillyDiamond for the feedback! It is much appreciated! Anyone else? Please weigh in.

Those look like gorgeous stones and seem pretty closely matched to me. I love the size of them for studs and the settings you've chosen. You can't go wrong with BGD!

You can tell the difference in color, but since these will be earrings (not worn next to each other), it is minor enough that it is not an issue at all.

The cut is similar on both stones, and I think they would be a great match.

While they have their Valentine's sale going on, it makes it a particularly worthwhile purchase.

Go for it!

Gorgeous & a match to my eyes. :-)

Sorry, but there's no way I would mix an I and a J. You usually can see the difference in those two colors unless the I is borderline J. Stick with two I color or two J color. Even though they are on the ears and not right together, the color difference would drive me nuts. I ordered an I/J pair once and returned them.

I looked and neither of those has a color match. The best match I could find was a little smaller:
