Bezel Setting Thoughts

Hi all,

I know I have been promising for a while (2 weeks) to upload the engagement ring I just gave. We have some photos of it on the flowers where I proposed. They are just being edited.

In the mean time, it seems the plain solitaire (BGD Half Round Tiffany) might be getting in the way, just little bit, around the normal weekend house things. I have a Brian Gavin Signature Diamond I just purchased (.307 carats 4.34 X 4.37 X 2.66) and I was thinking of setting this in a 14k unplated white gold. I have reached out to vendors and I am looking for a low profile, economical setting. Below are some pictures I received some pictures of what the results would reassemble. I was hoping for the community's input/what to look for. Also, would a .307 bezel be way too small for a ring? Anything to watch for in 14k unplated white gold? Is the Bezel too thick?

I greatly appreciate any and all thoughts/recommendations.

Thanks!

I thought I might bring this to the top of the list. What are your thoughts of the topline? Too thick?

Hi There,

That's a pretty setting. I love bezels myself. It does look a bit too thick up top. Almost like the stone is sunken in a tad too far down.

I thought the diagram looked familiar. Check out adwar.com, under the " Stackables" Category. There are quite a few settings to see.

All the best with your project. :-)

Edited to add: there are quite a lot of settings on the site in general, not just the Stackables section. Enjoy..

Thank you!

I knew these had to come from a casting company and I would not find where. Thank you!

That is my concern, thick top and sunken diamond... Hmm. I haven't been able to see any real life photos. I'll keep looking tho!
