I want to set my 1ct RB original e-ring in a pendant and have a few questions.
I really like the bezel setting but I think I would prefer it to be able to slide around on the chain. For those of you who stationary bezels, do you find that the diamond moves up your neck and you have keep sliding it back down so it''s in the proper place? I am wondering I should do a bezel though because the cut isn''t that good (pre pricescope) so I don''t want a bezel to hinder it''s performance. Would I be better going with a prong setting?
I don''t want a traditional 4 prong setting with the bale if I can avoid it, but I do want it to be solitaire...no halos, etc. My budget is $300 (absolute maximum), I want white gold, and I want to get it done locally. I would like to get a chain that has the option of switching between 16" and 18". Is that something that has to be custom made, or is there someplace that local stores can order them?
So what do you think, bezel or no? What other settings would you recommend? Thanks!
