Fred Leighton is even more overpriced than Stephen Russell..................
Ah, an admission that Stephen Russell is overpriced.

Brooklyngirl,
You may as well look at Leighton''s reproductions. The prices were less shocking than I expected.

Harriet - I''ll be back in NYC this weekend, and will definitely visit Stephen Russell, although I doubt I will find something in my price range.
I''m adjusting to suburban life in CA *extremely* slowly, lol.
I understand. I''m a city girl, born and bred. While you''re at Stephen Russell, ask to look at the Type IIA cushion ring.

That sounds beautiful! Sounds like you got the info you needed, but let me know if I can help in any way. Alternating OEC''s & French cuts would be yummy!

My god what in the world are you talking about? "Ah, an admission ...................." We werent discussing the relative prices of goods. She asked where she could find french cut eternity bands. I answered her question. Fred Leighton and Stephen Russell are but two of the top of the line jewelers in NYC. The prices of Stephen Russell are slightly less than Tiffany but still at a premium. Fred Leighton is even more expensive but the quality is not as high as Stephen Russell.

That sounds great Brooklyn!!!! I have always been SO IN LOVE with SS''s french cut/OEC bands.....I hope to have one of my own someday!!!! Im so excited for you!!! Let us know what happens!!!!!

for rose gold which would look PERFECT with your e-ring!!!

Harriet - I will certainly have a look at both of these places, unless of course SS gives me a price in my range. Mmm... cushions

. Luckily for FI, I''ve come into a lot of diamond jewelry this year (WF plat. bezel studs, w-band, and of course the e-ring

), that my need for bling has been temporarily satisfied. Key word *temporarily*

Erica - Thanks so much! Hopefully I can get them down on price a little bit.

Dani - The SS band would be the height of fabulousness. Ever since I saw OECs on this site, and then saw some at Lang Antiques, I really, really love them. The pattern is TDF!

Tacori - RG may be a possibility if it will help b ring the price down a bit.

On my way to call Patti, and discuss pricing. Please send pricing dust

I am one step away from setting up a collection b/c I KNOW RG would be SOOOO perfect with your stunning e-ring (no pressure of course!)

*UPDATE*
I just ordered a 2mm OEC milgrained bezel platinum eternity (with sizing bar) from Single Stone!

BEAUTIFUL! Can''t wait to see it. I loooove their eternity bands. I have a 3/4 eternity from them that makes me grin every time I put it on. Glad Patti was able to make it happen for you. Your e-ring is marvelous, BTW. So PRETTY!

Gorgeous! Can''t wait to see it!

Thanks pixly, and NEL! I''m so excited about this band, and I''ll finally be the proud owner of some OECs

Yay!

It''s gorgeous! I''m glad you found a band you''re 100% happy with. I can''t wait to see it!

Oooh lovely choice!

I have seen these bands in person many many times and they are gorgeous!

How are french cuts different from baguettes?

OMG, that band is awesome, BG! I love it...I contacted Singlestone last winter about a band similar to that one....Do you know what the tcw of your ring will be?

I think you made a FAB choice, and I cant wait to see it on you! Congrats!!

Thanks snlee, Grace, and Dani - I can''t wait to see the finished product, and I''m so glad I''ll have something unique to wear

wetjenn - French cuts have a different faceting pattern than baguettes, which are similar to EC without the cut corners. See this link: http://www.khulsey.com/jewelry/fancy_gem_cuts.html

You got rose gold!

I think she ordered hers in platinum. The picture is in rose gold.

Should be gorgeous in platinum!

brooklyn, I know you already ordered your OEC band but just so you know, Ari does have someone who hand cuts his French cuts - he had to hand cut a couple for me when he sized an antique french cut eternity band for me (which I finally get on Christmas...) and I have to say that the quality of his new French cuts is excellent. You cannot really tell the difference with your eye as to antique French vs. SS French. Just in case you want to change your mind...

Tacori - Fly Girl is correct, I got the band in platinum. As far as pricing goes, My 1.9mm band was 1750, and the 1.9 mm Bev K band from Pearlman''s was about 1350 + 20% discount they''re having now. So, the SS band was a bit more, but I <3 those OECs!

surfgirl - I was considering getting their alternating OEC/FC band, but it cost a lot more than I wanted to spend. Perhaps for an anni
