She was such a spunky lady!

I can't believe it! She was something special. We recently watched a best of Betty White DVD that showed some of the best episodes of her early career. What a woman!

Such an awesome lady.
She lived a great life!

My husband just told me, she was just days short of her 100th birthday :(2 Rest in peace Betty White.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I have always loved me some Betty. The funniest babe and the coolest cat that ever was.

Go get them, girl.

2 weeks away from 100. As stupid as it feels I'm crying right now.

HI:

I was just reading about her verbal twitter jousting with Ryan Reynolds. She was a treasure. RIP.

cheers--Sharon

This is so sad..but she lived a full, happy, and fun life..I would like to think she is with the love of her life right now. She never remarried. They were so smitten and in love with each other.

Oh how very very sad!

She was wonderful!

Hopefully she is with Allen and all her furbabies. She touched so many people and animals lives while she was here. She will be missed.

I was saddened when I saw the news, and particularly wished she could have lived at least to that milestone of one hundred years old. Anyone else feel the same?

I am sad that she didn’t get to celebrate her 100th birthday but as it is with so much in life, it is out of our control. I can only imagine that she died a happy woman after such a well lived life. RIP Betty.

She was an icon.

Beautiful inside and out.
RIP Betty White.
The world is a little less bright without you in it.

I will miss her...She had such a fun personality and never took herself too seriously!

I felt the same way @DAF . Betty made the world a brighter place. After the past two years I too hoped she would live to see 100. The well wishes and happy funny tweets would have been wonderful and shown her how much she was loved. They also would have been fun and happy for everyone reading them and participating in wishing her a happy birthday.

I'm saddened by this, Betty White was such a great person and so full of life. And so talented too. I'm really glad that she retained popularity into her later years and the younger generation knows who she is and appreciated her.

yes
i have read usually ladies live to see their birthday and men dont quite make it
i was terribly sad when Prince Philip didn't make it
I had dear Betty in the same catagory of people who would live forever
i felt like she had more laughs to give and to share with us

she was such an animal lover, i bet there was a huge welcome at the rainbow bridge

"my mother used to say The older you get the better you get. Unless you're a banana."
that's a very famouse Betty White line if one is a Bruce Springsteen fan
i think it was a line of Rose's from the Golden girls

So very true.

She had a long life, and touched many people with her humour and good works. Such a shame she didn’t quite make it to 100.

I have seen posts all over FB asking for people to honor her memory on January 17th by making a $5 donation in her name to an animal shelter or rescue. I plan to do this and hope many others will join!

ETA: January 17th would have been her 100th birthday!

Too Patient, American Humane stated they have had an outpouring of people donating to their organization since it was announced Betty died. Betty was involved with this organization. What a legacy she left. She did so much to help animals.

Yassss! That would be so awesome if people made a donation in her honor!
We definitely are. More than $5 and it will be made in memory of Betty White.
A caring animal lover and incredible person.

Made donations to 10 of our favorite animal rescue groups today in honor of Betty White. Glad to see many others were doing the same!
