Best place to sell engagement ring in Toronto?

I''m a new member; thanks to everyone that makes this such a great site.

I have a quesion about where would be the best place to sell an engagement ring in Toronto, Canada. I hope I have posted this question in the correct forum. I conducted a search and didn''t find any similar questions, so I hope my question is within the rules of the site.

The ring in question is one I purchased for an engagement that was utlimately ended. This occurred several years ago and I still have the ring, that I would like to sell. The ring was purchased from Birks in Toronto, and is a diamond solitaire set in a platinum band.

A friend recommended an online auction, but I don''t have experience using those sites and I prefer a face-to-face transaction with a reputable business/buyer.

If it''s a Birk''s ring then I''m sure it''s got a quality diamond, that probably only a Canadian would truly appreciate as far as name recognition. And if you prefer to sell to a person rather then through auction, I would suggest selling through Craigslist.org.

Just be careful when using such sites if you have a very high value item. I wouldn''t invite just any stranger into my home, perhaps agree to meet in a public place.
