Your thoughts?

I like 1 and 3 the best. And 3 is a good amount less.

1.) what draws you to 1 and 3?
2.) Your not impressed by the higher color ratings of the other 2?

Keep in mind, this is all just my personal preference and the way I scan a diamond.

I''ll answer your second question first. No, color doesnt sway me, it''s the last thing I look at. My comfort level goes to H, so all of these would be fine with me as far as color. Of course higher color is nice, but not necessary, for me. But, color is a very personal thing. Are you comfortable with any of these colors? If not, strike it.

Now, when I look at a diamond, this is the order I look at it in.

1. Depth. If it''s too deep for me, no point going on.

2. CA and PA''s.

3. Clarity

4. Color

So, to answer your first question, I just like everything about 1 and 3 better. But we''re splitting hairs here, moreless.

This is what 1 gets on the HCA.

Light Return Excellent
Fire Excellent
Scintillation Excellent
Spread
or diameter for weight Very Good
Total Visual Performance 1 - Excellent
within TIC range

And 3

Light Return Excellent
Fire Excellent
Scintillation Excellent
Spread
or diameter for weight Very Good
Total Visual Performance 0.8 - Excellent
within TIC range

Both are great.

For me, 2 is a tad deep, but just for ME.

And 4, I don''t like the angles. (scores a 1.7)

Hope this helps.

Crown Angle: 61.9? typo?

I like the numbers on 4 and if its eyeclean its bling for the buck is pretty high.
Do you have an IS image for it?

And yeah, I forgot that CA strm.

From what I have been told...there is a feather on the table(I am going tomorrow to compare 3 and 4), this feather is visible at 3 to 4 inches and I am told is visble at 10 inches IF you are looking for it.

So Tomorrow I am going to decide if it truely is visible.

The color on #3 scares me. I have never seen an H in person(to clarify...never in person while really shopping for a diamond) so I don't know what to expect.

I have been told that I will probably not be able to tell the difference between an H and a G and most likey wouldnt be able to tell the difference between an H and an F.

If this is the case, I might consider the H more.

Here are the images of #3

As far as the cut advisor goes...is .8 better then 1?

I like number 4, but I am concerned about that inclusion. Since you are going to see it though you will be able to see for yourself. I wouldn''t worry about H color. My diamond stud earrings are H color, the center stone in my three stone ring is F color, and the two sidestones are G color and to me they all look exactly the same. I also wouldn''t be concerned about a difference between .8 and 1.0 scores on the HCA. Just go take a look and let your eyes be the judge.

Well thats good to hear...it seems like 4 is getting quite a nod :) So I will definetly have a look at it closely...

Do you guys think I should have a look at this one in person 2?

It seems preaty dang eye clear for an SI2...am I missing something?

I see some discoloration in the last stone pictures. Something funny going on in the middle. Shows up on the idealscope, too.

Just FYI, I''m looking at one of these stones, too!

People who know me will know which one! (But keep it to yourselves, please, until treepop and I make decisions!)

In reference to the funky thing going on in the middle..are you refering to the si2F I just posted? Or one of my original 4?

O! and before I forget...the #2 diamonds PA is 34.7

I think DS is referring to the diamond you just posted. It looks a little weird, but I think it''s just reflections. If you look closely, the bottoms of the arrowshafts are actually pointed, it''s just they have a black relfection that makes them look crooked. That combined with a focal problem, I think. Tough to photograph stones, they''re so small. I wouldn''t dismiss nor accept the stone on the photo alone. Not when WF offers a return policy.

My 2 cents.

Good luck,
^

The F SI2. I'd eliminate that one for sure. There is some brown discoloration between the arrows and you can see it on the IdealScope picture as well.
(I meant I was looking at one of the first 4).
