I have a hard time deciding what stone to get cushion cut or radiant cut in 1carat, 1.5 carat or 2 carat.

Which one looks bigger? Also what setting are there? I dont know much about settings.

Ah, the 2 carat will look bigger. Oh, you mean between the cushion and the radiant? Have you seen this chart?

As far as setting goes, you have to decide if you want a solitaire or a setting with stones in it. Pave is really popular
right now. Search on "radiant" and "cushion" here on PS and you can see some in different settings. Hopefully that
will help you figure out what you like. Also, wouldnt hurt to go try on some different settings. You may not be
able to find them with radiants or cushions in them so you''ll have to use your imagination.

BTW, there are lots of different looks for cushions so if you decide you like cushions you will have to figure out
what "type" of cushion you like. GOG has a lot of different examples. Here are a few. http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/6929/

Once you narrow down which you like we can help you some more.

I''d prefer a cushion a thousand times more than a radiant. If I could have one, it would be one of Good Old Gold''s August Vintage Cushions.

Are you buying this for your girlfriend? If so, I would not choose a setting without getting her preferences. And if you want it to be a total surprise, then I''d suggest a plain, inexpensive solitaire for the proposal and then let her choose a setting later.
