OK so I have been on the search for a new cover-up for our wedding that will cover-up my stretch marks on my boobs... hehehe. Anyway - I have tried a number of products over the years but nothing has ever worked. Some cover but the color looks fake, others don't cover at all, and some just don't look natural or flawless. After trying on some dresses the other day at a bridal shop a lady recommended cover-fx.... So I ran out and bought it (cost me 120$ for the set) and it didn't work well at all... very thick and the color just didn't look right....

Then I was talking to a co-worker who recommended a product by the VICHY line called full coverage Dermablend... So I decided to try it... And boy let me tell you does it ever work. You can't see my stretch marks at all when I use it, and I can't even tell it's on. It's smooth and blends in seamlessly. It's really a fantastic product and I wanted to share the news for everyone out there looking for a good cover up! It's supposed to be water resistant and smudge proof too once you set it with the powder but I can't speak to that yet since I just tried it on this morning!!!

FYI - it can also be used to cover tattoos. My friend used it at her wedding and it worked well.

yep! that''s what my bm used on her tat on her back. worked beautifully. you can get a sample pack and mix to match, too.

Hi,

I used to have pretty bad stretch marks and red scars around my belly region ever since I gave birth to my three kids.I had tried Vitamin E oil and cocoa butter which a number of people had recommended but unfortunately it didn''t seem to work too well. My Doctor had even suggested that I go for a Tummy Tuck. I then recently read an article about a lady who supposedly got rid of her stretch marks using a particular cream. I tried it and it worked really well. It took a number of weeks but my stretch marks soon faded away. You can read the lady''s article at the link below.

How do you keep it from getting on your dress? I have some stretch mark issues too

Rose - I believe that there is a powder that you use to "set" the dermablend.

I''ve only used it as a cover-up for zits (it is GREAT for that too and one tub of the stuff lasts like 34396 years), so I didn''t have to use the setting powder, but I *think* that is how it works.

this stuff works great!! it comes with a setting powder that is white (looks like baby powder) so it is not intended to be more coverage.

works best on anything you want to hide, tatoos, scars. I use it to cover up a scar from a mole I had removed a few months ago. Also has SPF 30.

What works the best the cover creme, foundation, or concealer?

I only tried the cover-cream but that is supposed to be the highest coverage (most pigments). I am sure the others work well too but if you want to cover up tattoos or stretch marks I recommened the cover-cream. Also get the setting powder.

Oh, Dermablend ROCKS! My MoH has half-sleeve tattoos, and we used it to cover them. It took a BUNCH of coats (we were literally painting her for 2 hrs) and unfortunately, I got a little smudge of it on my dress when I hugged her during the ceremony - not noticeable, but it was the ONLY stuff on the market that I found to cover massive, dark tattoos. And, it washed off easily - she took the stuff off in the bathroom the second dinner was served, and no makeup got on her dress. Pretty cool stuff.

Hmmm..

How much is this stuff?

Where do you get it? I think I''ve seen it at Macy''s or Dillard''s possibly, but does that mean its expensive?

Can you order it online cheaper?

And lastly, does it rub off? I have stretch marks on my arms (gained and lost a lot of weight very quickly when i was in middle and high school). Arm stretch marks are the most embarrasing thing ever! But I would love to cover them up, along with some small ones on my boobs. Would it get all over my dress, or does that "setting powder" really work?

I might have to try this if its so highly reccomended.

It's not cheap but not that bad. I think the cover up was 38 $ and the setting powder was 38$ (CAN). I am not 100% sure where you can find it in the States but in Canada they had it at our pharmacy. Try Sephora or look on the Vichy website for locations. As for how well it works, it work's amazing to cover up the marks but I am not sure about how smudge proof it really is. My assumption is it probably stays on longer and is more smiudge resistant than other makeup - but if you rub up against it it will probably come off. Nothing can be really 100% smudge proof. I would just be careful rubbing up against anyone or putting it on places that will be rubbed frequently like ur arms.
