I commissioned a California Himalaya mine pink tourmaline and wanted to share how it came out!
I don't have it in hand yet, but the vendor's original rough and cut stone videos are below. I thought it would be interesting to share, because I found it so hard to envision what the final piece will look like from just the rough. I expected a darker, dustier piece and was overall quite happy with the end result! I haven't usually seen California tourmalines in such a vivid pink color. What do you think?
Preview (screengrab from the video) - these were shot on an overcast day.
It isn't quite a glamour shot imo so I'm quite curious how it will look in person.
