Hi Mike. I saw your question and wanted to offer that we have viewed Benchmark''s quality. Their product is very nice. Very durable & scratch resistant - with a lifetime warranty. It''s a good company.
Lifetime Guarantee
Every Benchmark Piece is backed by a Lifetime Guarantee that states:
* If your ring is ever damaged during normal wear, Benchmark will repair or replace your wedding ring free of charge.
* If your ring finger size ever changes, Benchmark will re-size or replace your wedding ring free of charge.
Certain types of wedding bands (two-tone bands, patterned designs, diamonds) are difficult, if not impossible, to size without damaging the ring. At Benchmark we will make sure that your Wedding Band is taken care of properly. If we can''t fix it, we will replace it.
I thought that this was kind of interesting (a quote from Benchmark's brochure):
Our tungsten carbide rings start out as fine powder. The powder is combined with a chemical binder so that it can be formed into a soft putty-like substance.
The tungsten putty is then placed into a mold and fired at extreme temperatures-resulting in preformed shapes that undergo an extensive grinding and polishing process.
I have a Trew tungsten ring with platinum inlay. The two tone look is great for me. The ring has no groves to hold dirt and shines like new. These are heavy rings however. The size replacement guarantee was nice to have too.
When I was at the store the other day, I picked one up, and I was surprised at how heavy it was.
It was probably my imaginaton, but the Trew Tungsten ring felt heavier than a similiar platinum ring, which I wouldn''t think would be possible since both Tungsten and Carbon have a lower atomic weight; however, my chemistry is pretty bad.
Mike
