I''ve honestly been looking at this diamond on the internet for the last two months trying to work up the courage to pull the trigger. Based on all of the research I''ve done, the numbers look wonderful but my only hesitation is that it seems just a little too cheap since the only thing that it has going against it is it''s I color, which is not a problem for me, yet everything else seems to be in ideal proportions. Also on the GIA report there is a little black dot right on the top of the table, but since it is a VVS2 I would assume it is nothing I could ever really see. There is just this little voice still in the back of my head that is telling me I''m not reading these numbers right and I''m just looking for some reassurance. I''ll post the rest of the specs below. I always have this problem when it comes to deciding anything and I just need a little positive reinforcement, so please reassure me.

Hey The Dude!

Not normally a fan of I color in shaped stones, I am still giving this stone (from just what you wrote) it seems like a well cut, lovely stone! I don't know pavillion and crown angles, and if you posted them maybe people could give you better insight. Me, I think it's a lovely cut stone at a premium cut on AGA charts.

Also, GIA reports with clarity are usually very accurate, so I don't think it's much of a problem...I do worry about a black inclusion, but if it's a VVS2, that's got to be tiny? Do you have picture?

Price was around $3500.

I know it is a personal thing, and I am no expert, but why a vvs2? Is this what you want or is this the supply of the retailer you are buying from. Would a VS1 or even a SI1 do the job, perhaps you could not even tell the difference and not pay for something you do not need, just being economical!
Again, it is personal taste. Good luck

It sounds like a really pretty stone! Good luck!

VVS2... that spech should be smaller than your average dust grain, no joke !

The depth of that stone is rather huge and this helps it look as big as 2/3 of it's weight worth of a round. If this does not bother you, than why not - by princess cut standards this is not bad at all.
