Yes, I''d like to know a little about you as well, Beechezz! You come across as such a nice person, always honest and at the same time helpful and considerate, I always enjoy your posts!

Wow! I have to say I am honored, you are both so sweet!

Well, I live on the Jersey "shore". So, my name "beechezz" comes from my love of the BEACH! I''m a true Jersey Girl, born and raised.

travel, except that I always need a "buddy", lol. My husband usually accompanies me, but I have a really good friend that I go on "girl" outings with once a year. Last year we went to West Palm Beach, Florida and this year we went to Las Vegas! My husband and I will be visiting my brother in Switzerland soon so we can meet our niece (she is a newborn), and I am very excited!! My husband and I have also been to England, Wales, Spain, Mexico, South Carolina, Arizona, Tennessee, Maryland, Virginia, Rhode Island, and Maryland. We usually plan our visits to warm weather places, but sometimes our trips must include "family" visits.

Hobbies, hmmm.....well, right now DIAMONDS are one of my obsessions! I LOVE perusing the "show me the ring" forum and drooling over all of the eye candy! I don''t have anything in the works right now, but I did have a special piece made back in the Spring for my birthday. My husband had my mother''s original diamond from my father set into an 18K WG halo setting, and I

it! I don''t think I will be getting anything else too soon, but a girl can dream, lol.
I also enjoy bike rides along the beachfront, walking in the fresh air, and yoga. I had the opportunity to do yoga on the beach this summer and it retriggered my yoga addiction. I also like to read. I am a big fan of Nicholas Sparks, James Patterson, Harlan Coben, Mary Higgins Clark, and several others. I like to go to the library and just peruse the shelves. I like the quiet and smell of the books (weird, I know).

I am not a fan of the cold weather so the winter is always a problem for me, unfortunately. Does anyone have any indoor hobbies they can suggest????? I need a new one this year.

I love spending time with family too! My family is all over the globe so this can be tough, but I always make the best of each and every visit! Friends are VERY important to me too! I am very lucky to have a neighborhood that is somewhat like a family. My husband and I don''t have any children as of yet, but I am a very popular "Auntie"!

Unfortunately, I am NOT a cook! I so admire people who make it look so easy! I wish I had that "Martha Stewart" gene, but somehow mine got lost!!! I do like baking though, and my neighbors and friends usually get to reap the rewards of what ever sweet treat I am concocting!

Lastly, I am a teacher. I worked for 13 years in several other industries until I began teaching 6 years ago. It was always my dream and I love it although it can be very challenging. The kids can be tough, but my heart is with them!

Whoa, sorry for the novel! I just started typing and look what happened!

What subjects do you teach? I absolutely praise teachers. I don't know how you do it with so much patience, kindness and compassion - so my hats off to you Beechezz and all the teachers, without you guys we would not be where we are today

, I still keep in touch with my fourth grade and one of my high school teachers on FB...lol

Hey D&T! Thank you for the compliment, teaching definitely deserves the praise! I fell in love with teaching when I was a kid, and it was always my dream to do it. Sometimes I feel like a parent to my students, and they all have a special part of my heart. Currently I am a special education teacher in the high school. I teach Earth Science to 9th graders and Biology to 10th graders. I never expected to be teaching at the high school level, but I have found a love for it. Hopefully though I can one day return to the elementary level to teach the little ones. My true passion is with them. My favorite subject at the elementary level is reading. I love stories, grammar, and spelling (I''m a geek, I know). Hopefully, I can do that again!

I''m a Jersey girl too! (well, at this point I should say Jersey older woman!!

As far as a new hobby is concerned, how about decorative painting? I teach a style called one-stroke painting and it is so much fun! You can paint on anything, glass, ceramics, wood, metal and just paint things to decorate your home with. The supplies can be found at any craft store. I like the one-stroke method because it is simple to learn, but the results are very pretty. You can google it and find out more about it. You could also look into other techniques, the craft stores have books by different artists. It''s a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon while the hubby watches football!
