Who Beau13....What''s Your Story?

Beau,

I am really sorry to read that your father passed away. There is nothing more heart breaking, than to lose a beloved parent. I lost my father almost 5 years ago, and there isn''t one day that goes by that I still don''t think of him.

Deepest condolences to you and your family.

Beau,
I am very sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how you are feeling losing your beloved Father. Prayers of comfort and strength to you and your family.

Beau: Your father sounds like a wonderful man, and I''m so sorry that you''ve lost him so early in your life. I''m glad that can identify his influence in your character -- the strengths he passed on to you, and that you will (hopefully) pass on to your children.

Beau,

Very sorry to read this. Losing someone you love is heartbreaking. I''ll be thinking of you and your family during this difficult time.

Beau, I''m so sorry for your loss. I''m glad you have your husband and kids to help you through this difficult time. **HUGS**

Beau, you have my deepest sympathies. I''m terribly sorry for the loss of your Dad.

Thank you ladies, for the messages of sympathy and your condolences. It''s greatly appreciated, and will hopefully bring me the strength I need to make it through tomorrow at his funeral service. I just NEED to be strong for my kids, my dad LIVED for his only two grandsons. They are taking it pretty hard. Just when I think there are no tears left to flow..I''m shocked that I can fill another cup full!! Thanks again!!

Beau- So sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as well. Take care

I am so sorry to hear this Beau. I think of my dad every day, usually when my daughter does something I would have loved him to see. It is tough for sure and I know you will be strong as I do think you are a strong woman. Hang in there and hold your boys a little tighter.

Beau, my condolences. I lost my dad 3 years ago and I miss him so much.

You and your family are in my thoughts.

beau, I know you''re a strong woman and you''re also a very together woman, and although I know today had to be hard for you, I''m confident that the love you have for your family- your Dad, your husband and your kids, will give you the added strength you needed to cope. It''s amazing what we are capable of handling and doing even when we think we''re maxxed out. It''s just something about being a woman. We are the caregivers, everyone''s rock, everyone''s problem solver, everyone''s strength and courage during difficult times. Even when we feel like we can''t handle or do anymore, overdrive kicks in and we constantly amaze ourselves. I''m confident that you had a day just like that. It''s the power of love that gets us through.

It''s terribly painful to lose a parent that you treasure and love so much, so please be kind to yourself in the days ahead and allow yourself the emotions it takes to transition to a life without your beloved dad. You and your family will be in my daily prayers. Please let us know how you are when you''re up to it.

Gemgirl...that was beautiful, THANK-YOU!
You''re right, I did find the strength to keep it together and make it through the day. I actually surprised myself, not showing a whole lot of emotion for the service. As I mingled with the guests..thanking everyone for coming, many relatives told me how strong and "very together" I was. They know I''ve been the glue that kept everyone and everything together in my family. They told me what a wonderful daughter I was, doing everything and anything for dad (while some daugthers could have just put their parents into a nursing home, and forgotten about them, doing nothing for them). I enjoyed taking him to his weekly and monthly appointments at the cancer center, having him over for dinner, picking him up for hockey games, taking him out for coffee. I am sooo going to miss all that!! This has been a very trying week (to say the least), a lot put on my shoulders, with no real help from anyone else.(as in siblings, mother) It was difficult to plan a funeral service by myself, and today we will be driving an hour, then walking an hour , to scatter his ashes over his favourite hunting grounds. I am thankful for all those great friends who made wonderful dishes, still piping hot, to serve my family (since grocery shopping and cooking, took a back seat this past week). My kids were delighted with the great meals and desserts they ate (since cooking is not my forté...lol). Thanks to all you wonderful PS members who sent messages of sympathy, and who were sending out prayers for my family!!

Well, here's what I don't know about you, Beau:

Do you like to read? And, if so, who are your favorite authors/what sort of books do you tend to read? Are you really writing a book of your own, or are you being facetious when you mention the auto-biography?

Favorite movies?

What's the craziest/wildest thing you've ever done?

35.gif
Monarch, I have no favourite authors. I don't find I have the time to read alot, but when I do (rare), I tend to read books about photography, design/decorating, and home improvement. No, I am not writing an auto-biography, even though it would be an interesting read (boy do I have some interesting stories to tell
31.gif
)
Movies?? I love "The Notebook" and "Shawshank Redemption", but enjoy any real action movies (Steven Segal, Bruce Willis), or funny movies like "The Hangover" which I recently seen.
The craziest and wildest thing that I've done?? Hmmmm..there quite a few, some things I can't even tell my friends, but they'd be shocked to hear!! lol
I am a spontaneous, adventurous gal, who is open to trying anything, and I know how to have fun..I'll just leave it at that for now!

Trouble tends to find me..and although I try to be a "good girl"..being a bad girl is just so much more fun!!

I''m so sorry to hear about your father. Sending hugs.
Thanks Bee (and those of you who also sent prayers, hugs..condolences).
Today was another tough day..we took a walk into the "forest" as my kids like to say, to spread my dad''s ashes.
My dad loved the fall, loved hunting, and being out in the wilderness.
His wish was to be laid to rest in his old "stomping grounds" (hunting area) ...so that is what we did.
On our way in, we seen a deer and a moose..so I hope my dad had his rifle ready!!
I was really hoping we wouldn''t run into a bear, since we forgot to bring OUR rifle!!

My sympathies to you for the loss of your father. I hope each day going forward is better and better for you. I lost my dad 22 years ago, he was 45 years young (cancer), and you feel you will never stop crying but things really do get better. You will find that, with some time, you speak of him and and find yourself smiling and laughing much more than crying. Hope your boys are doing better, too.

Beau, I''m so sorry for your loss.
I''ll be thinking about you.

Beau,

I''m SO very sorry to hear of your Dad''s passing. My heart truly goes out to you as you''ve had to deal with some very difficult things lately. Please take care!

Gentle hugs,

Lori

Thanks Loriken. I''m just now getting back on my feet, it''s been almost 2 weeks since his passing. A mini-getaway really helped take my mind of things for a few days. Now..back to reality, and tying up loose ends (sending out death certificates and closing).
Since you started this thread, if there is anything you''d like to know about me, feel free to ask away, I''d be happy to answer your questions!!
