Also, I read somewhere that a 60/60 diamond may show more tint in a diamond that a more modern cut. Is this true?

With either of these (in particular #1), am I running into any issue where the stone will go dark when I'm over it? Thank you!

No. 60/60 do not show more tint IF they have ideal light return. The problem is they are more prone to having UN-ideal light return. But you can get good ones.
