Barry''s been on a spinel roll

He's been cutting a lot of spinels lately The latest of which is this lovely.
"5.9mm round brilliant, medium/dark slightly purplish blue color in incandescent light and a pure medium blue color in indirect natural and fluorescent lighting conditions"

I see a touch of grey, but I'll see it in person to decide on if it's a keeper.

I wasn''t planning on it either. But I really love Barry''s cutting, and wanted to see it with a spinel, and he just happened to have this lovely blue one (which might match my tanzanite well)....so I bought it. Oops!

Hehe I do, and I''m actually thinking of resetting it, but yours is just so bright and pretty! Mine has a great color shift but the blue is pretty dark in Chicago lighting conditions 9 months of the year

I got it! Man is Barry''s shipping quick!
His vendor photo is in mixed lighting I think because in (rainy overcast) natural daylight it is a BLUE blue. And it shifts more purple/violet in strong incandescent lighting.

I''m trying to take some photos, but it''s raining like crazy so natural light is kind of scarce...
