Hi folks,

I recently purchased a .70 carat princess cut diamond from a b & m jeweler in a white gold cathedral setting. (3mm)

(For those of you who followed my story on "Rocky Talk" I traded in the E/I1 stone .80 points for an H/VS2 stone .70 points...and I am so glad to have stone that''s not peppered!!)

Anyway, I am trying to find a band ring that looks good with this setting. The bands at the B & M store where I got my ring don''t match.

Any suggestions? Would you go with a 2 mm or a 3 mm? Any ideas for what looks best with a cathedral setting that''s 3 mm AND a .70 point stone, (especially a princess cut).

I would prefer to get a plain band rather than an eternity band because I want my "small" solitaire to POP and not be overwhelmed.

I look forward to your ideas...you guys are great!!!

We need pictures to try and match it, there are so many variations on WG cathedral settings...

Pictures would be really helpful... While we wait

, I would recommend you don''t give up the idea of an eternity or 1/2 eternity band. The right eternity band can make your e-ring diamond "pop". Yes, I was not a believer on this until I tried it myself. My preference is for a thin band so you have the e-ring diamond covering or overlapping the wedding ring. I am bad with descriptions. I''ll try to look for examples and will post back.

Also, what kind of budget do you have?

Here''s my ring. My budget is under $1000.

I have pics posted..looking forward to your suggestions!

I think your stone would still reallly pop with a petite diamond band either shared prong (watch out for rubbing issues) or beadset. Plain would be nice too, but I think you would have to get one custom made the same width and height to really look like it matches.

Here are some bands that I like.

I don''t really have any different suggestions, but wanted to say your ring is really, really pretty! I love that style of setting!!! It looks gorgeous on you, good luck finding your band!

My 1st ring a princess cut was set on the same cathedral setting you have. I had a flat/ pipecut band from www.eweddingring.com
and it looked good, the other plain bands didn''t sit high enough w/ the cathedral, try the flat or pipe cut bands.

Well, I have ordered a 2.5 mm white gold flat band ring from eweddingband.com. I will post when it gets here and see what you guys think!

If anyone has other ideas, keep them coming.
