Oh Deco I cannot agree with you more---those are beautiful (and do combined all your favs....)!!!!! I also understand the difficulty during these times---my husband and I have had a few projects going on, and are trying to decide whether or not to continue----for fear of a major major depression (which I doubt, but still...).

Ok, usually Im an enabler...but Ive been known to kill the odd lemming or two in my lifetime also!!!!

They look like they would protrude alot from the ear. The sides looks odd with the gold fading to white gold. The posts with the weird end look like a pain to get through your piercing, and the locking bit looks very big and heavy. I think the earrings look too heavy and would stretch your hole. Plus they are very busy and possibly not for every day wearing.

Thanks for the empathy, gals!!! I think its kind of like being on a diet and all of a sudden wanting a triple fudge sundae with a side of brownies & french fries. In "normal" times I might see lovely sparklies like that, drool, think "Someday!" and move on ... but with all the gloom & doom & stress & sky-is-falling-talk, my longing is somehow especially pronounced.

Those earrings are gorgeous!! While I''d never spend that much money on earrings, if someone can afford to, all power to them! I''m a first generation Canadian, my parents and grandparents emigrated from Czechoslovakia in the 1960s. When the economy hit rock bottom over there, as it did many times, their currency would become worthless... The amount of money you have in the bank or in your hands will not matter if it''s worth nothing. I figure jewelry on the other hand is a good investment because it''s a tangible item that will always be in demand. So far my husband isn''t buying it...
