Bad Hombres??

He needs to be deploying them to Berkeley, it would seem. :errrr:

It's SO derogatory and demeaning to speak to someone that way as the president of a nation. EMBARRASSING.

Agreed. Making fools of us all---not to mention that talking like that can start wars. :wall: :wall:

I absolutely did not know it was now considered "derogatory," "demeaning" and/or "embarrassing" to speak Spanish with someone who's native language is ... Spanish.

That aside, since the article via both links is noted as originating from the AP - next time maybe consider going to the source's website and reading what they actually published (and share that version). Time & Politico BOTH chose to edit not only the word 'warned' to 'threatened' in the very first sentence (fear monger much?), but they also conveniently removed several pertinent tidbits before re-publishing. Perhaps Time and Politico are competing for gutter sludge with HuffPo when it comes to poor ethics; if so, it's a three way tie here.

It's a TRANSCRIPT with no tone or inflection provided, nor was either of these three media outlets in the room to know if he really did 'warn/threaten' to send in the troops, or if they were having a light-hearted moment and Chump made a job. Choose your news (more) carefully, folks!

The excerpt of the call did not detail who exactly Trump considered "bad hombres," nor did it make clear the tone and context of the remark, made in a Friday morning phone call between the leaders. It also did not contain Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto's response. Mexico denies that Trump's remarks were threatening.

Eduardo Sanchez, spokesman for Mexico's presidential office, denied the tone of the conversation was hostile or humiliating, saying it was respectful.

"It is absolutely false that the president of the United States threatened to send troops to Mexico," Sanchez said in an interview with Radio Formula on Wednesday night.

A White House spokesman did not respond to requests for comment. The Mexican Foreign Relations Department had earlier told The AP: "The negative statements you refer to did not occur during said telephone call. On the contrary, the tone was constructive."

Mexico's foreign relations department said the report was "based on absolute falsehoods."

There is one anonymous person who provided ONLY this ONE piece of an HOUR-LONG convo ... and everyone else ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BORDER is raising the BS flag about this 'report' I think I'll join them, and crack open a Corona! :wavey:

My original post said that I didn't know it was real/true, and that I hoped it wasn't. As I said, if it was mis-reported then that's great.

The report about what he said to the Australian Prime Minister, Malcolm Fraser, has been verified, however. (Also followed up by a crazy Tweet this morning.) Trump is certifiable. Also: did you hear him call his trip to receive the remains of the fallen soldier-the one who lost his life in Yemen- yesterday "amazing"?

That's not true. The official Mexican news site, Aristegui Noticias, had reported the slight to their President. "The Los Angeles Times" speculates that Enrique Peña Nieto (the Mexican President) is now trying to save face by denying the report. The Mexican people are calling to see a transcript of the phone call.

"The explosive allegations Wednesday that Trump threatened to send soldiers to Mexico drew anger in Mexico, where many feel deeply insulted by Trump’s repeated attacks.

There were widespread calls for the Mexican government to release the transcript of the call.

Alejandro Hope, a security analyst in Mexico City, said he did not know what to make of the allegations.

'I know it sounds crazy, but it doesn't sound completely out of character,' Hope said, noting Trump’s provocations of other world leaders and his frequent attacks on Mexico.

If Trump did indeed threaten to send soldiers in to the U.S. 'that's tantamount to invasion,' Hope said."

Well then you must be a staunch supporter of a fascist regime..

Trump provides fuel for the hair-on-fire attitudes. Don't know that he will ever adjust to the scrutiny, but I'm not sure it matters, as there is no way he can win this battle of, "He said..."
