LiW BAD haircut...so upset!

I got a haircut today, and I am SO upset!

I asked for it cut slightly past my shoulders, with a slight face framing angle in the front...you wouldn''t believe what the lady did! My hair in the back is BARELY down to my neck, and she basically cut layers all through it. In the front my hair is at my cheek. I am so upset and it is SO short!

To top it all off I went to see my bf when I was done and first thing he says is ''What happened to your hair?'' I burst into tears.

But the good thing about hair is that it grows fast! (well, relatively speaking...)

is this someone you regularly go to? if she isn''t, did you show her a picture or did you verbally tell her what you wanted?

well, the bright side is that you have a shorter and cuter hair-do for the rest of summer. if you''re not comfortable posting a pic of your hair, maybe you post a pic of a similar hair cut? we could totally help in giving you some styling tips so you can enjoy your hair while it grows back out!

I''m sorry to hear you''re this upset about your hair cut.

I really like to give it a wash and a few days to settle into the cut before I judge it. Some styles can look completly different when not styled profesionally.

Don''t panic. Hair grows. It will pass.

I second the recommendation for washing it yourself and seeing how it turns out naturally. Then buy some cute hairclips/styling products and see what you can do to make it look as good as possible while it''s growing out. You never know, you might even like it once it looks more natural and you''re used to it.

Aww I''m so sorry this happened!! From the description of your haircut, it sounds a lot like my friend''s old haircut.. except she wanted it that way.. I''m guessing it''s cut where there is a downward slant towards the front? She always got SOO many compliments from people around her.. Sure your BF may have asked what happened because I''m sure he wasn''t expecting it but you might find people like it. In the meantime, start taking some prenatal vitamins or just biotin (vitamin b7) because both will supossedly make your hair grow faster

Also, spend some time in the mirror playing with it and see if you can straighten it or put the front up, or put bobby pins to pull it back... anything to make it look different to see what you like.

I''m sorry! I went through the same thing and I actually cried in front of the hairdresser...In my defense, my haircut was so horrid, and i was genuinely shocked at how bad I looked

I hate it when that happens!

Sometimes, they will get it wrong, but if the cut is cute, I deal with it. However, there was one time that I got a cut that I did not want, but also looked horrid on me! It was super short when she was finished. I was depressed about my hair for the entire month, but, as it grew out, it looked better and better, so I got over it.
