We were married on August 21st in WV! We had planned for an outdoor ceremony and even as it was raining, DH kept insisting the rain would pass and we should continue the plan for an outdoor ceremony. Well, when it started pouring down the rain with only 3-4 hours to go, he finally gave in and planner and crew got to work to set everything up inside. They were still putting on finishing touches when guests started arriving (1 & 1/2 hours before the ceremony!!) but really, that's totally our fault!

The day was totally perfect! DH's aunt read the children's book "I Like You" and everyone loved it! The ceremony was short and sweet and there wasn't a dry eye in the room. The good part about moving it inside was that it made it feel really intimate.

I'm so happy we decided to go with our planner! Planning from 6 hours away would have been so hard and it wouldn't have come together quite as perfect (or stress-free) as it did. We hired a one man band from GigMasters who was totally awesome and everyone loved him! He made the night! I don't have any pictures of him but hopefully our photog got some good ones!

The only complaint is that the person who was supposed to make our cake had a heart attack about 3 months before the ceremony and had to cancel all outstanding orders, leaving us to go with basically any back-up we could find. It was delicious and really didn't look terrible but the lady and her husband stood guard over the cake table all night!! When it was time to do the cake cutting she demanded that the photographer show the "pretty front" of the cake, instead of letting him get us in the best lighting. Now, it's funny to me but at the time, it was really irritating!

Now, on to the pictures!

Congrats on becoming a MRS!! The day looked wonderful.
Beautiful dress!! Can I ask who the designer is??

Thanks so much everyone!

EyeElle - It is a White One (W1) which is one of Pronovias more inexpensive lines.

Congratulations! You made a simply gorgeous bride!

You look GORGEOUS! That dress looks like it was made for you.

Congratulations!

Congrats! You look beautiful! I like your cake toppers, too!

(Sidenote: lately I'm into anything with birds since my grandmother gave me an antique glass window catcher with two lovebirds etched into it. It used to hang in her Aunt Katy's window and it's over 80 years old!)

Aww! Everything looks so pretty. I'd never know looking at the photos that you weren't planning to have an indoor wedding. Bummer about the rain. Ours was in upstate NY, and the day before could not have been more perfect-blue skies etc...Saturday it started out bright and got progressively darker. By 6pm we were joking about starting early as we didn't know if our luck was going to last. Thankfully our ceremony was as short as it was=as it did start raining about an hour after.

Your dress is fantastic! Not that I'm biased or anything, but loved your birdcage veil and feathery flower. Your cake and topper are too cute for words. I can't wait to see more pics of the big day!

Congrats, what lovely pics!!!!!!!!!
