We were married on August 21st in WV! We had planned for an outdoor ceremony and even as it was raining, DH kept insisting the rain would pass and we should continue the plan for an outdoor ceremony. Well, when it started pouring down the rain with only 3-4 hours to go, he finally gave in and planner and crew got to work to set everything up inside. They were still putting on finishing touches when guests started arriving (1 & 1/2 hours before the ceremony!!) but really, that's totally our fault!
The day was totally perfect! DH's aunt read the children's book "I Like You" and everyone loved it! The ceremony was short and sweet and there wasn't a dry eye in the room. The good part about moving it inside was that it made it feel really intimate.
I'm so happy we decided to go with our planner! Planning from 6 hours away would have been so hard and it wouldn't have come together quite as perfect (or stress-free) as it did. We hired a one man band from GigMasters who was totally awesome and everyone loved him! He made the night! I don't have any pictures of him but hopefully our photog got some good ones!
The only complaint is that the person who was supposed to make our cake had a heart attack about 3 months before the ceremony and had to cancel all outstanding orders, leaving us to go with basically any back-up we could find. It was delicious and really didn't look terrible but the lady and her husband stood guard over the cake table all night!! When it was time to do the cake cutting she demanded that the photographer show the "pretty front" of the cake, instead of letting him get us in the best lighting. Now, it's funny to me but at the time, it was really irritating!
Now, on to the pictures!
