Hello everyone... I''m back and married! The wedding was wonderful, although a few things didn''t quite turn out as planned. I felt super-rushed the whole day so I''ve been worrying that the guests had a good time but so far I have heard only compliments. It was so nice to be able to see my family...most of them live out of state and I haven''t seen them in years.

We went on a mini-moon to Houston for a few days and just got home. We stayed at a friend''s bed and breakfast and then hit the Galleria, an Astros game, Museum of Natural Science, and the Byzantine Fresco Chapel. It was lots of fun!

I can''t believe I''m married!

Congratulations, oobie! Do we get to see any pictures?

YEAH! you''re not OFFICIALLY married until the PSers gush over the pix...DUH!

Congrats to the oobiecoos! I hope that the few things that went awry are things you can laugh about now that it''s over, and that you''re enjoying being a newlywed!

Congratulations on your wedding!

Congratulations on being a married woman!!! I''m glad you had a good day even if it felt a little rushed. I think that happens to everyone from what I''ve seen at the weddings i''ve been to!

Ooooh congrats oobiecoo! Pics Pics Pics please! (I wanna say you must have been beautiful that day, but ahem, it sounds very fake without pics! lol)

Congratulations - I do hope we get to see some pics!

Congratulatons! I''m looking forward to your pictures

Thank you everyone for all of the "congratulations"! I should have the pictures by Monday hopefully... my new photographer is pretty fast. Sorry I don''t have any now! Hopefully one of my bridesmaids will send me a couple soon.

I was never able to post our engagement pictures because of my photographer drama but I''m going to go ahead and post one that I saved from online since it doesn''t look like things will be resolved anytime soon. Please excuse the giant "PROOF" written across it

Hopefully its not illegal to post it...

The things that went wrong weren''t too serious so I haven''t been obsessing over them. They were just a little annoying.

The cakes turned out only barely similar to what we asked for and they weren''t ANYWHERE near the level of the cakes she showed us pictures of. The one''s she showed us were neat, even, and beautifully decorated. The one''s we got were sloppy and crooked... they did taste amazing though! We just aren''t sure what happened there...

She makes all the cakes herself so we feel like maybe she just ran out of time..?

The ring bearer changed his mind about walking down the aisle. He did a pretty good job at the rehearsal but I think he got too nervous. Too bad because he had on an ADORABLE seersucker jacket!

We started the ceremony late... kinda my fault I guess but people kept coming upstairs to visit so we all lost track of time.

And we did our own music with my laptop. The music turned out great but the microphone at the reception site that we used to announce things kept getting static-y. It was kind of annoying so we ended up just yelling alot.

And my florist decided to put a HUGE, ugly, shiny bow on my bouquet. I asked for a sash and gave her a pic so I don''t know where the bow came from. A bridesmaid was able to remove it though and I was happy with the final look... ad the boutennieres were super cute!

Everything else went smoothly though. The violinist for the ceremony was very professional and extremely talented. I hadn''t heard her before, just her quartet, so I was very pleased.

My new photographer was really sweet and I really think she got some great shots... I can''t wait to see them!

The food was really good... tasted very homemade, down-home, southern-y. We had roast, honey ham, steamed veggies, roasted potatoes, salad, rolls, and before dinner there were some goodies outside. We had asked for fruit and cheese but she put out some veggies, dips, olives, and other tasty treats. Did you guys know that horseradish goes great on raw brocolli?! I had no idea!

The groomsmen looked adorable in their mint green Jcrew ties and we got soo many compliments on our Target bridesmaid dresses and my dress.

Overall, it was a great day!

Congratulations! It sounds like a wonderful date despite any little snags! And I''m so glad you got a photographer who you felt got good shots. Still wishing you luck with the other crappy company!

CONGRATS!!!!!

I love reading your story about how things went. It''s nice to see how things execute after all of us spend so many months planning. All in all your wedding sounded like it was fantastic!

Arrrgghhh! Are you trying to give me a heart attack? haha I have nightmares of something like this happening. I actually REWROTE the whole contract with the florist because hers was very general - I put in all the details, and put PICTURES, down to the kind of orange I want. I actually also wrote, under "further comments" (a section I created myself": No bows. I swear I''m not kidding. haha I''m sure she was thrilled to get her contract completely redone. hehe I don''t care though - hers was waaaay too general - I KNOW she wasn''t going to go searching through all our e-mails to remember the details we spoke about the day of. So I''m actually helping her.

But seriously now. CONGRATULATIONS! It sounds like overall, you had a great day. Welcome back!

Sorry! Not trying to give you a heart attack! My florist''s contract was pretty general as well but I went by a couple of weeks before the wedding and went over everything with her.... oh well. She was also going to put a little butterfly in the bouquet but that didn''t happen... I was a little dissapointed

I''m sure your flowers will turn out great though if you re-did the whole contract, haha!

I have pictures of things OTHER than the wedding that I really need to post. Mr. Oobiecoo gave me a Cartier rolling ring (inside of a talking Tardis) for my wedding gift and wrote me this super sweet letter. I need to post pics of that and also my wedding bands ( I have 2!). Also, when we were at the Houston Museum of Natural Science I took a TON of pics of their GEM EXHIBIT! They had some really amazing pieces there so look for my pictures sometime soon!
