The ring is soooo pretty! I'm sure when she is older, it will make a beautiful pendant. So sweet of you, Kelpie.

It's got to be way smaller than size 1...a 3 year old can't even get it on her pinky past the first joint! It is such a sweet little ring I'll just hang onto it for now. The ebay seller was not a prolific one for fine jewelry or I'd share, seems like a one off they just came across. I haven't seen anything like it. When I get my wedding ring I'll do a shoot together, it's like a mini-me!

Would any 3-year-old be wise enough to take proper care of a diamond ring? Much less a chicken?

Sorry, I don't think these are great ideas. Keep it on a necklace, for yourself or your niece when she is older or whomever. JMO.

I like the toe ring idea!

Or for the kid for special occasions, maybe.. then they can wear it on a necklace or give to their own kid when they're older. Chances are, a kid would loose/damage/not be that amused by it. Maybe this kid will-- I'm just not one who sees a lot of purpose for nice jewelry on babies. But, the parents could save it until the kid is a little older and could enjoy it. It's a very thoughtful gift you got, and a pretty ring.

i vote for wearing in on a simple chain too
