I wanna say that I would do bodily harm, but the reality is that probably with my child bleeding and screaming, I would be more concerned with whether they were okay. My maternal instinct would take over and I would be freaking out about my child, less so the man.

I hope I never have to find out.

I wouldn't do that. You'd be up on criminal charges yourself. Harsher federal felony ones than this guy's one year misdemeanor, too. http://felonyguide.com/Felony-Class-D.php ... And class D is if you get LUCKY and they decline to pursue terrorism charges against you.

NEVER, never never joke, or kid in a way that could be interpreted as falsely reporting a bomb and do infer a bomb unless you can back it up or prove it or truly are afraid of one. They have NO sense of humor about that. And have no issue making an example of someone. Every year people ruin their lives making this mistake.

VL, I think your aside is very funny, but Gypsy's right, you can't say "bomb" on or near a plane or you know what happens next, whether you're trying to diffuse a situation or not. I did want to say I appreciated your humor. Reminds me of that movie Meet The Parents, when poor Gay Focker is just trying to get his engagement ring through in his carry-on. "bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb ba bomb!"

AGBF, thanks for bringing this story to our attention. I really, really hope that this individual is punished to the fullest extent of the law and that the baby and his family receive all sorts of settlement money--this case (the defense) is particularly deserving of a giant sum of money and I don't say that lightly.
