This is a local jewelry store and I''ve heard their ads on the radio regarding this. I wonder how close in price they could get with the likes of the popular PS vendors. I''ve been into their stores before and they have a good selection of ideal (not H&A) AGS stones, but the prices are ridiculously high. I paid a little over $1100 for my AGS .56 J VS2 ACA from WF (can I possible get more abbreviations in there LOL). This B&M would charge several hundred dolllars more for the same specs, non H&A stone. I highly doubt they could match my ACA. They also claim (I don''t know if they still do, this was a few years ago) that their non-branded AGS ideals were the same thing as HOF. Uhhhh....NO. I don''t think they are trying to deceive customers. I just don''t think they understand what HOF really is.
They have a couple different levels of quality for their diamonds. Their .50ct stones in the highest level that aren''t lab graded and are poorly cut run about $1200. I noticed that they only put the lower level prices on their site, probably to make them more in line with online vendors. They don''t provide any info on the diamonds either: "Day''s 1/2 carat enchantment diamonds are guaranteed to meet the following standards: 1) The diamond color will be a GIA color grade of I/J or better. 2) The diamond clarity will be GIA clarity grade of I1 or better. 3) The diamond weight will be between .47 and .56 carat."
If they truly want to compete, they need to do a LOT better than this.
