Hi Ladies,
Technically, I'm not a LIW, in fact the topic of marriage has not even been raised. I have only been with my partner a few months, and whilst we arent in any rush, we are both serious about settling down (with each other!) at some stage, you know, maybe in the next couple of years!
I have, however, been a long time lurker on this site (almost a decade!). I havent really given much thought to "MY dream ring" recently, other than I probably want a round solitaire.
I was engaged many years ago (when I first found this site) and had a Tiffany knife-edge setting with a RB diamond. Beautiful ring, not so beautiful relationship, and not surprisingly, though I loved, loved, loved that setting, I dont want the same ring again!
Then I discovered the August Vintage stones and my heart quite literally skipped a beat.
Round, cushion, I dont really mind, they are just beautifully cut stones! (not that I have ever seen one in person - I dont live in the US, but let's just say I've chewed up quite a bit of bandwidth viewing GOG videos over and over in recent times!).
I realised that if I ever got the choice I would want one of these beauties for an e-ring. But then the dilemma: what kind of setting would I want? I have always been a simple solitaire girl but somehow the vintage style cut of these stones just seems to shine more in more vintage style settings.
Then I discovered Tacori 2620 - and nearly fell off my chair at the sight of it - despite the fact that I had never really been a halo fan.
But I'm not sure it would be a great every day ring. I mean all that fine detail- would it be hard to keep clean? And it looks like it sits quite high off the finger so would I have a tendency to bash it on things and even ruin the beautiful milgraining?
Anyway, I am just thinking "aloud" I guess, I know its far too soon for me to really be thinking about this but it is fun to daydream.
Anyone seen some AV's set in simpler designs that really spoke to them? Or, seen a non-fussy setting that they thought would really suit an AV?
Anyone have, or know anyone who has the Tacori 2620 and want to comment on how it goes on a daily basis?
Just curious
