Bret Stephens was hanging out at WalMart?

Bed bugs are one of my worst fears.

That's awful x.x I only go there for exactly one item and that's because every other brand of said item I have tried gives me a terrible rash. Now I'm going to be all frickin paranoid about going there.

In case anyone wants to do further reading on bedbugs in general.

Just don't go into the men's fitting rooms.

The women's departments must be bug free.
I'm sure only a man could be lowlife enough do this. :nono:
But then again, there's that woman who posted a youtube video of herself taking a tub of ice cream from Walmart's freezer case, uncovering and licking it, then returning it to the shelf. :naughty:
Fortunately she got caught, but her heroic deed resulted in several copy cats who posted their deed on YT.
I think YT has pretty good AI to detect and delete things like suicides and ****. ... YT, FB, IG and Twitter should ad software that quickly identifies these anti-social acts that are posted for naughty-fame.

I wouldn't be surprised if a copy cat creep will try to top this by sneaking pubic lice into packages of underwear. :eek2:
Now, that would be hard to explain to your SO.

And this is why I prefer animals to (most) people.

Haha that's exactly what I am worried about. A copycat who will release them in other areas! I am luckily not in Pennsylvania but I did tell my husband that it was a Pennsylvania walmart and look what his people did lmao. He was not amused.

Ugh how awful! I can't read the story because I'm phobic about bedbugs, but I'm still shocked. Should I be shocked about anything anymore? I guess I'm naive.

Walmart is my favorite store. Why are people singling it out for shootings and, now, the release of bedbugs? Can the poor never get a fair shake?

PS-I was a poor student (is there any other kind?) in New York City many years ago. One place I lived was an apartment in "The East Village" (The Lower East Side). Although the landlord had an exterminator, there were bedbugs in the walls of the ancient building. I got so bitten up by bedbugs each night that I went to bed with knee socks on and with socks over my arms. In the end I had to move out because I was full of red, itchy bumps. Well...it's all part of life experience. At least I did not live in poverty all my life as some people do.

There's another way to look at it ... that is if the assumption is only poor people shop at Walmart.
Instead of seeing it as the poor being singled out for shootings and bedbugs, it could be seen as the poor doing it to each other.

Then again, I'm sure plenty of not-poor people also shop at Walmart.

I don't feel poor yet I love the 99 cents Only store for lots of stuff.
Some of it is the exact same merchandise sold at stores like Target or Walmart for 4 or 5 bucks, but for only 99 cents.
I appreciate a good value.
