Any thoughts on this diamond would be helpful. I included the GIA cert information as well as the HCA figures. I could get this diamond for under $20k. My budget is north of that so i was thinking of going a little bigger. Please chime in if you have an opinion.

What are you going to use the stone for?

It probably will have some obstruction issue. Idealscope image will tell more if that is available.

What determines an obstruction issue in a stone?

I will have access to an ideal scope...does anyone else have any thoughts on this diamond?? help would be much appeciated.

Stone Cold is telling you what the red flag is for this diamond. Head obstruction could be a problem if your wife to be has a lot of dark hair. If she holds the diamond very close to her, because of the angles, it could go dark. That is why he printed the chart. This type of diamond looks better in a pendant than a ring.

There is a great video on head obstruction from one of the experts on here. For some reason though there seems to be a problem (for me, anyway) getting any of the videos in the Pricescope library to work. Maybe someone else can link it so you can get a better idea of what head obstruction is and how it could affect your diamond.

sorry i was not following..this is very helpful!
