I''m falling more and more in love with Asschers by the minute, but i still want to try one on before sending BF on a hunt for one. Does anyone know a jewelry store in Atlanta that stocks Aschers?
Tiffany''s in atlanta had one EC that was pretty square, but at 5+ cts it just didn''t give me a feel for the type of ring I would be looking for. Banks Bailey Biddle (?) din''t have any either.

Royal Asscher says Mediknow(sp?) is a licensed dealer of their cuts, but I think the one Phipps closed. Am I wrong on this?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to PS!

I purchased my asscher in Atlanta -- at UnionDiamond.com -- they do have a retail location on Paces Ferry Road. There might be some asschers in stock there to view, but they might have to "bring them in".

I also visited Mednikow at Phipps Plaza and viewed a few Royal Asschers - they were open as of Nov 2007. Beautiful store. There were some there to view, but they had to "bring in" stones for me.

Good Luck!

thanks so much!

Yeah, BF has someone he wants to buy from (i think), so this would merely be a scouting venture, so that I could see the shape on my hand before BF is having stones shipped in.

I would hate for him to put all this time and energy and then have me change my mind when I finally see one in real life.

just keep in mind asschers are deep stones and appear face up way smaller than rounds.... (if size is an issue)... here''s a SIZE CHART
I love the asscher cut -- I''m constantly capivated by the steps, and often lose myself staring at the stone.
Most people think my asscher is a princess cut, cushion or crisscut -- but that''s ok... it doesn''t bother me at all.

do a search for "asschers" here on PS there are some beauties!

Good Luck!

i know...my mom keeps telling me the same thing! haha

I'm just mesmerized staring into them, much more than a RB. BF doesn't want me to have anything over 2cts, the RBs I tried on and liked were about 1.5cts, so I think an asscher in the 1.75-2ct range will be perfect! And just by browsing around on PS and online I'm totally confident that BF can find a nice stone in his budget in that carat range.

ALso, I was searching around online and found someone that does gorgeous channel set asscher eternity bands, but now I've lost the site....any ideas what it is?

also, asschers can be tricky, and finding a well cut stone might take awhile.
I would have your BF run the numbers by the resident experts here -- especially Strm the "asscher specialist".

one more thing -- I recommend finding a place with an upgrade policy -- just in case.
