My ring came in! FH let me pick it out. I started out wanting a Tiffany Lucida, and ended up with something much more "me". I love vintage culture and geometric lines. I'm SO happy with it!

I didn't think I wanted a halo because when I first started looking, all the ones I saw were round, and I don't prefer round stones. But I wanted something that would allow me to set the stone "low" or protect it somehow, so I came back around to a halo. In the end, the stone was set as low as possible but is higher than I would prefer. But I'm going to deal with it because I also ADORE my unusually cut Asscher and don't want to choose one that is shallower. See here for more details about the cut of the stone:

Thanks all! I can't stop staring at it! I'm not a good photographer and have only a small point-and-shoot camera, but we may try to take some better pix over Christmas. Also, we are waiting on the appraisal package and there may be some pix in there too. I'll certainly try my best if it means I get some more nice compliments! You all are lovely.
