Hello all! As they say I''m a "long time lurker" and I just wanted to say thank-you to Strmrdr for all the help and great info for us Asscher lovers. Simply by going through the posts I was able to get all my questions answered, and get great advice and specs for Asschers because of Strmrdr!
I have now officially started my Asscher search, based on different research and mainly the advice offered by Strmrdr these are my specs:

Cut: Ideal-Good
Color: D-G
Clarity: FL-VS2
Carat: 1.0-1.50
Depth: 60-70
Girdle: Med-slightly thick-thick

I am fortunate enough to have a long-time family friend who is GIA and works in Southern California, so hopefully I will be able to find a good one. Our budget is about $8,000 for the stone and a pave setting. I want the setting to be fairly simple and petite and show off the stone. I''m a size 5. Any additional advice or pictures or ideas are greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!!!!!

Your welcome.
You forgot to list the table specs. 50s to low 60s.

As for the setting....
imho nothing compliments an asscher like a 1922 cartier replica setting or something similar.
(im sure you have seen pics of them around here)

Is this the one Storm???? heehehe

Now that I look at my paper I have those same table specs listed...I copied them from one of your posts a while back.

I LOVE that ring

For a while I wanted to go with a split shank design and was really in love with Daniel K''s stuff...but it''s out of our price range and I think with split shanks you have to go with a bigger carat size to make it look proportional. This Cartier ring is perfect though!!!!
