Its deep and the spread is so-so but the price reflects that.
Otherwise its a good one.

How does this affect the diamond? Does it have less sparkle/fire?

It is slightly smaller than some diamonds of the same weight, in this case it does not have a negative effect on the sparkle/fire just size.
The price takes that into account.
The same performance in a stone with a bit better spread could run up to $1000 more.

But im so confused! lol
I thought from all the posts I have read that a Depth of 65-72 is okay, around 68 being ideal.
And a Table of 57-62 was good.
I guess this particular stone falls on the high end of those ranges.

70%+ in depth and reduction in spread brings a price decrease in today''s market unless they are antique style cuts with super high crowns.
Its the way the current market works.
I have designed asschers/SE with 88% and 100% and 110% depth with awesome performance.

You could give GOG a call and see what they can find if you decide against the 1.01.
 
A couple questions: Do you like small windmills? That seems to be what you select yourself, so I was just wondering if that is what you like? Also, do you need 1 carat or size for a particular setting? The windmill shape and size window might be limiting. I would also suggest you try to have GOG call you some in, then.

I think I do lean towards the thinner,longer windmills. But im not opposed to bigger windmils at all.The 1ct is just a size i thought would be good, I dont really want it to be big. I dont have a setting yet. But am leaning towards a very thin pave band. I am going to make an appt with GOG to actually see some asschers and their differences.
 
those 3 look good but none of the 3 are listed as available.

Which would be your first choice?
 
2nd one would be my first pick followed by the first.
3rd has too big a table which I missed the first time I looked.
need the crown height on it.

Thats interesting, JA thought #3 had the best light return, and #2 was least impressive.
 
I''m not an expert like Storm, but I prefer the look of #1 out of all of them.

are they in MA and are they actually looking at them or going by the pictures?
 
Im not sure, but i did question the crystal in the center of #1 and they said it was "completely clean". So i think they are in MA and look at them.
However, the brightness comment was prob just based off the IS images.

Or NY as they have someone there who looks at them in person to see if they are eyeclean.
I would dismiss the 3rd due to the large table myself.

The other 2 talking to someone who has them in front of them looking at them would be a good idea.
JA can arrange that in both locations I think.
I would be happy with either one or 2 if the crown height checks out they are different styles but both look nice.
