Thanks to everyone for their helpful advice. Finally took the plunge yesterday and found a great Asscher, an 11th hour addition to the selections they had and it was absolutely perfect (E VS1, Ideal). Was referred to Ted and Howard at the Diamond Vault in NYC and they did an outstanding job. They''ll give you a crash course in selecting diamonds before giving you a great selection. There''s no pressure, they just want you to have the best possible experience, value, and stone. I''ll try to post pictures when I pick up the ring in a couple of weeks.
