Hi everyone
I''m new to PS but have been lurking all week. I''m hoping you all can help with an asscher hunt - my bf and I are talking about getting engaged and discussing stones and I''m absolutely terrified about getting ripped off due to lack of research. I''ve read a lot of the posts here on asschers and have fallen in love with the Cartier 1922 pic that is often posted.
I''ve contacted WF with my specs. Can you take a look and tell me which stones to take a closer look at? Are there any red flags on the listed stones?
(My specs: D - G, VVS1 - VS1, 2.0c - 2.7c, ratio 1.0 - 1.02, budget up to $45k)
Asscher 2.49 E VVS1 GIA VTK N EX EX N 68.7% 62% 7.54x7.48x5.14 $40,478
Ratio 1.01:1
Asscher 2.45 D VS1 GIA STK-TK N EX VG N 69.2% 64% 7.44x7.41x5.13 $37,396
Ratio 1:1
Asscher 2.60 G VVS1 GIA STK-TK N EX VG N 68.2% 62% 7.63x7.52x5.13 $37,237
Ratio 1.01:1
Asscher 2.75 G VS1 GIA TK N EX EX N 68.8% 63% 7.80x7.68x5.28 $36,300
Ratio 1.02:1
And sorry to ask for so much help but if anyone can answer the following, I would really appreciate it!
- Can anyone recommend another website for sourcing asschers online?
- Are the table and girdles on the above stones ok for an asscher?
- Does anyone know if stones are cheaper in the US than in Europe (we live in London but I''m from the US and go back every other month and am trying to make our budget). Can anyone recommend a good jeweler in London that has knowledge of asschers? It seems no one really stocks them
- Am I out of my mind for considering making a purchase like this online - on previous posts I have heard with asschers especially it is important to see them in person to determine fire and brilliance. Has anyone had any particularly good/bad experiences with online??
Thanks in advance for answering to my post!!
